Begin your music career as a performer
The BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma in Music Performance is the perfect launch platform in which to begin your music career as a performer. Learn musical skills, alongside working in a band and participating in regular live performances. Other areas of study include songwriting, music technology and music marketing. Study takes place in our well equipped Pro Tools suites, rehearsal and performance spaces, and recording studios.
Eligible Applicants: 16-18 Years of age
We also accept those aged 19 years, although an Advanced Learner Loan will need to be applied for to cover course fees.
Maths and English Requirement
If students have not achieved a Grade 4 or above in GCSE Maths and/or English, they will need to continue studying these subjects alongside their programme at Platform One. This is a government requirement for eligible students. Classes take place at the Isle of Wight College and are attended exclusively by Platform One students. We’ll provide further information about classes and what to expect upon enrolment.
