We’re back with another live music showcase on Wednesday 13th May! This event will feature a mix of our Level 3 Performance and Commercial Music degree students, who will be performing sets of both popular covers and original music. The showcase will be headlined by The Project, performing reworked songs for your listening pleasure. 

We’d love to see you at Strings Bar & Venue, with doors opening at 7pm. Entry is just £5 on the door. 

On Monday the 11th of May, composer and sound designer Thomas George will be delivering a masterclass at Strings Bar & Venue as part of Platform One's 25th Anniversary celebrations.

His recent works include composing for the BBC, Channel 4 and Sky, as well as working with HBO, ITV, Nike, Apple Arcade and Stainless Games. After spending many years recording, producing and touring all over the world as a signed artist, Thomas now resides in a quiet part of Southampton - writing for TV, films and video games.

Join our L3 Performance Year 01 students as they perform with their tribute acts for the first time. With Tributes to Bruno Mars, Sabrina Carpenter, Taylor Swift and Kat Perry, it’s a night not to be missed!

Our Saturday RockSchool students will be taking to the stage for their second live show of the academic year, on Saturday 14th March. South Coast Pop Punkers Slackrr return to the island for an evening performance at Strings Bar and Venue. With support from Platform One students, the band are sure to bring an energetic end to your Wednesday night! Doors open at 7pm, tickets are £5 on the door (cash only please).
