The BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Music Industry Skills provides the opportunity to develop skills as a performer and music creator.
This course is suitable for those who would like to learn more about the music industry, develop their existing musical skill set, and learn the inner workings of what it means to be a musician. Study takes place in well-equipped music technology suites and rehearsal rooms, with live performance opportunities at an established live music venue. This programme is a one-year foundation course.
Eligible Applicants: 16-18 Years of age*
*We also accept those aged 19 years, although an Advanced Learner Loan will need to be applied for to cover course fees.
Maths and English Requirement
If students have not achieved a Grade 4 or above in GCSE Maths and/or English, they will need to continue studying these subjects alongside their programme at Platform One. This is a government requirement for eligible students. Classes take place at the Isle of Wight College and are attended exclusively by Platform One students. We’ll provide further information about classes and what to expect upon enrolment.
