The trip formed part of Platform One’s ongoing commitment to connecting students with the wider creative industries, giving them the chance to engage directly with professionals working across music, media, marketing, live events, management, publishing and more.
Throughout the event, students attended panels, keynote talks and networking sessions designed to provide insight into the realities of building a career in today’s music industry. Alongside discovering emerging artists and industry trends, the experience also encouraged students to build confidence, make meaningful connections and explore future opportunities beyond university.
Industry engagement opportunities such as Liverpool Sound City continue to play an important role in the student experience at Platform One, helping bridge the gap between education and the professional world. By attending national events and conferences, students gained valuable firsthand experience of how the industry operates while developing the professional networks that can support their future careers.
From conversations with artists and managers to insights from labels, promoters and creative entrepreneurs, the trip to Liverpool proved to be an inspiring and valuable experience for everyone involved!
